Last Saturday night, McAninch Motorsports battled with 22 Tora Late Models for the win at Hutchinson Raceway Park. At first, weather seemed like it would play a factor if races would run as scheduled. But with luck on our side, the thunderstorms passed and it was go time!!!
The 52 Machine raced in the third heat of the night. With a 3rd row-outside starting position, Ryan would have to race hard and get a good start on the green flag. Ryan tried many groove combinations to pass, but could only pull a fourth place finish. In the A-Feature, the 52 Machine started the race 5th row-outside. During the A-Feature there were only a few passes made by several late models throughout the race. Ryan maintained a 7th place position during the first half of the race. With about 10 laps remaining, Ryan had gained a position, but then would lose it with 3 laps to go. Ryan would take home a 7th place finish.
The 52 Machine will take on Sedalia State Fair Speedway this Friday, August 29, 2003 and Salina Speedway on Saturday, August 30, 2003. These are the last of the Tora races scheduled for 2003, so we hope to see all our races funs this weekend for 2 nights of exciting racing. Be there!!!!!
