RACE REPORTS
August 10, 2002
McAninch Motorsports was scheduled to race in Hutchinson and Salina this past weekend, but do to rain, we only raced Saturday night, August 10, 2002 at Salina Speedway for the third time this year.
We started the night with a pole position in our heat race; and we finished second, with McDaniels taking the win. In the main event, we started with a fourth row-inside position. There were 24 Late Models competing for the victory that night, and only one would prevail. During most of the race, we maintained a ninth place position, and tried many grove combinations to pass 64G-Greg Larsen. Ryan drove hard, but could not position himself to pass. With only 5 laps remaining, Ryan got to close to the wall on the front straight away, bounced right off and that was the end of the night for the 52 Machine.
The race that was scheduled for Friday night, August 9, 2002 in Hutchinson at Hutchinson Speedway Park will be rescheduled for September 13, 2002. Also race fans, we have moved up in TORA points to 4th place. We hope to see you this weekend in Jetmore, August 17, 2002 and Belleville, August 18, 2002 for two nights of racing!
