RACE REPORTS
April 26, 2003
The second weekend of TORA competition took us to Thunderhill Speedway located in Mayetta, KS.
A good field of 31 cars showed up to try and tackle the tricky high-banked oval.
We picked a very good drawing position that put us on the front row of the 4th heat race. We quickly
jumped out to the lead but were overtaken by Larry McDaniels on the 4th lap. We struggled in the heat
race and were passed by Chad Lyle and Joe Kosiski as well. We ended up finishing a disappointing 4th place.
A 4th place finish in the heat would give us the 16th starting position in the feature. Throughout the
30 lap feature we would slice and dice for position steadily making our way through the field. When the
checkered flag flew we would have to settle for 8th position.
We were considered the Midwest Motorsports Hard Charger Of The Race passing 8 cars in route to our 8th
place finish.
