RACE REPORTS
July 2-3, 2004
Last Friday, July 2, 2004; McAninch Motorsports raced in Rising City for the first time this season. It seemed as if the weather was going to cooperate for the evening events. TORA Late Models were able to hot lap and race the heats, only to have rain put a halt to the main events. Please note that TORA has rescheduled this event for Friday, July 23, 2004. Race fans, mark it on your calendar and we will see you at the races!
Next stop was Salina Speedway on Saturday, July 3, 2004. There were over 25 Late Models in attendance for the fourth of July celebrations. McAninch Motorsports competed in the third heat of the night with a second row inside starting position. The 52 Machine had a good start, but would lose ground due to problems with the motor. Ryan finished his heat in 5th place. Back in the pits, McAninch Motorsports worked on the set-up and getting the motor back up to par for the main event. Ryan's starting position for the A-Feature was seventh row and would have to race hard to gain ground. Trying to overcome motor problems, the 52 Machine gave everything it had but would have to settle for a 12th place finish.
